Forecast Zone Changes for Eastern Upper Michigan Now In Effect

On Tuesday April 2 2019...the National Weather Service in Gaylord implemented new geographic breakouts for public forecast zones encompassing Chippewa and Mackinac Counties in eastern Upper Michigan...and Beaver Island in northern Lake Michigan. These changes will allow NWS Gaylord to issue more specific forecast and hazard information for these areas. The changes are show in the graphic below.
