Heavy Rainfall Along the Central Gulf Coast; Thunderstorms from the Plains to the Central Appalachians; Heat Across the East

A system in the Gulf could produce heavy rainfall and flash flooding for portions of the north-central Gulf Coast into Saturday. Widespread showers and thunderstorms are likely this afternoon into Friday from Central Plains into the mid-Mississippi Valley, Ohio Valley and Central Appalachians. We are closely monitoring a strong storm in the Bering Sea. It will be tracking from the southwest to the northeast and eventually moving over the Bering Strait.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A High Wind Warning remains in effect for the Pribilof Islands through 1AM Saturday morning.

 

A Coastal Flood Warning and a High Wind Warning have been issued for the Kuskokwim Delta Coast.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There is also a Flood Advisory for the Kuskokwim Delta, and a Flood Warning specifically for Napakiak.
