Arctic air lingers for the east, however, winds will slowly subside and a slow moderating trend starts during the week. Tampa Bay Weather History – Our Harrowing Past

The NOAA National Weather Service in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida in collaboration with the University of South Florida has chronicled our sordid weather history. Two frail leather bound U.S. Weather Service Bureau books dating back to 1890 have been scanned and rebound, and teamed with other records including old original weather maps, news articles, photographs of major past events, and major event summaries. All of these have been collected and are readily available through our NOAA Preserve America website.
