Snow in the Rockies; Showers and Thunderstorms Along the Gulf Coast; Potential Winter Storm for Northern Mid-Atlantic and Interior New England

A winter-like pattern will continue over much of the Lower 48 over the next few days, with snow stretching from the Rockies today into the Middle Mississippi Valley on Monday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along the Gulf Coast and Southeast on Monday. Tampa Bay Weather History – Our Harrowing Past
The NOAA National Weather Service in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida in collaboration with the University of South Florida has chronicled our sordid weather history. Two frail leather bound U.S. Weather Service Bureau books dating back to 1890 have been scanned and rebound, and teamed with other records including old original weather maps, news articles, photographs of major past events, and major event summaries. All of these have been collected and are readily available through our NOAA Preserve America website.
