Heavy Rain and Flash Flooding in the West; Heat Expands in the Central U.S.

Monsoonal moisture will produce showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain over parts of the Southwest, Great Basin, and Central Rockies through Monday. Flash flooding is possible, especially in and around burn scars and in areas of steep terrain. NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards (NWR) is a nationwide network of radio stations broadcasting continuous weather information directly from the nearest National Weather Service office. NWR broadcasts include official Weather Service warnings, watches, climatological data, forecasts, and other hazard information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Receivers can be purchased at many retail outlets, including electronics, department, sporting goods, and boat and marine accessory stores and their catalogs. More information about receivers can be found here.
