Compared to the 1991-2020 U.S. Climate Normals, mean temperatures across the NWS Charleston
forecast area during October ranged for the most part between a degree below normal to two degrees
above normal, with the overall trend across the forecast area leaning towards slightly above normal

inch above normal depending on location. This translated to monthly precipitation totals as low
as 2 to 3 inches in some areas, while as high as 4 to 5 inches in others. Snowfall during the
month of October was confined to the higher mountain elevations and was on the light side, with
monthly totals remaining under one inch.

No top 10s were set at any of the official NWS Charleston climate locations during October 2025
in terms of mean temperatures, total monthly precipitation, or snowfall.
