Several rounds of moderate to heavy thunderstorms across the region are expected to cause significant river rises. Some sites in western NY are forecast to reach minor flooding due to widespread 2-3 inches of rain. Isolated amounts of 3.0-4.0 inches are possible in the greater Buffalo, NY area. Affected sites in far western NY are generally expected to crest Wednesday morning.
The weather remains active with rain chances late this week for the southeastern half of Maine. However, there are limited opportunities for east to northeast winds into mid next week across the Gulf of Maine.
