Critical Fire Weather Conditions in the Southern Plains; Showers and Thunderstorms Linger Over Florida

A cold front will linger over Florida through Tuesday, bringing widespread showers and thunderstorms, and potential flash flooding concerns. Showers and thunderstorms will be most widespread across eastern and central Florida. On May 2, 1997, Chevron Pipeline - Midland 4 ENE received the 50-Year Institutional Award. Mr. Ike Terrell, observer, received the award from Mr. Ray Fagen our MIC and Mr. John Frazar, HMT.

Several of Chevron Pipeline's operators/observers attended this ceremony. Cake, punch, and cookies brought a super end to this special event.

Chevron Pipeline has taken precipitation and temperature observations in east Midland for 50 years! We presented Chevron Pipeline a 25-Year Institutional Award in 1972!
