Storm Impacting the Northwest U.S.; Fire Weather Conditions in Southern California; Severe Weather in the South

A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. Overview

Band of moderate to heavy snow setup during the early evening of March 9th and slowly tracked east through the overnight hours, eventually affecting much of North Central Kansas. The highest snow totals occurred generally along and north of I-70 where close to a foot of snow was reported.
