Storm Impacting the Northwest U.S.; Fire Weather Conditions in Southern California; Severe Weather in the South

A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. Overview

Slow moving training storms tracked over Peabody Kansas for several hours during the late night hours of June 21st into the early morning hours of June 22nd. These storms dumped 5 to 8 inches of rain across southwest Marion county including the town of Peabody, which experience significant flooding.
