Frigid Airmass to Bring Significantly Colder Temperatures; Snow Continues Downwind of the Great Lakes

El Niño/La Niña Information

A La Niña Watch has been issued which signals conditions are becoming favorable for the development La Niña conditions. Per the Climate Prediction Center, a transition from ENSO-neutral to La Niña is likely in the next couple of months, with a 71% chance of La Niña during October - December 2025.

In North and Central Texas, La Niña patterns tend to favor better chances for warmer than average temperatures and lower than average precipitation (drier).
