The Small Craft Advisory is in effect Sunday night through Monday morning behind a cold front. Winds will shift out of the north and strengthen to 20 to 30 knots. Seas of 6-10 feet and bays rough to occasionally very rough.
Looking ahead into Dec. 13-19th, the outlook favors warmer than normal temperatures and near normal precipitation. Normal average temps range from 55-62°F. We're more likely to have average temperatures warmer than these. Normal rainfall is around 0.50" or less across the area for the week of Dec. 13-19th.
Morning fog will be followed by plentiful sunshine and a cold front this afternoon. Temperatures will warm with highs from the mid 70s to lower 80s. Winds shift northerly at 10-15 mph behind the front.
Along the coast, morning fog will be followed by plentiful sunshine and a cold front later this afternoon. Temperatures will climb to the mid 70s along the Middle Texas Coast. Dangerous rip currents remain possible, especially near piers and jetties.
Colder temperatures and mostly clear skies will follow tonight in the wake of a cold front. Northerly winds will strengthen to 10-20 mph with lows dropping into the 40s.
Rain-free conditions are expected through the work week with a cold Monday night getting replaced by warmer temperatures through midweek as onshore flow returns, causing highs to climb back into the 80s Wed-Thu.
