A National Weather Service Damage Assessment Team has surveyed the storm damage in Tallapoosa County. It has been determined the damage was the result of a tornado. The tornado has been rated an EF-0 on the Enhanced Fujita Scale. Damage estimates were consistent with winds around 80 mph.

The tornado touched down briefly near County Road 51 in far southern Tallapoosa County. Several trees and power lines were blown down and 2 outbuildings were destroyed. A couple of homes in the area also sustained shingle damage.

No hail was reported with this storm.
