This 2232Z reflectivity product displays the cell that eventually produced the Tuscaloosa Tornado starting around 2300Z. The storm had a tight reflectivity gradient on the south or southwest flank, otherwise the reflectivity data was unimpressive at this time. |
The 2232Z SRM data indicated broad weak rotation at 0.5 deg; rotational velocity of 31 kts at 1.5 deg; Vr = 29 kts at 2.4 deg; and no significant rotation noted at 3.4 deg. |
