Lingering Winter Weather in Interior New England; Snow Squalls Developing Downwind of the Lower Great Lakes

A wintry mix will continue in interior New England through tonight as a coastal storm quickly passes to the east. Heavy snow is expected in northern Maine, with a coating of ice expected for much of interior New England. Each day a different preparedness topic will be covered, including statewide tornado drills that are scheduled for Thursday, April 7th at both 1:45PM and 6:45PM.

On Thursday, April 7th, statewide tornado drills will be held at 1:45 p.m. CDT and 6:45 p.m. CDT. Outdoor sirens may be used in some communities for the drill and NOAA Weather Radios will be activated using test wording.
