Dangerous Cold Persists through Monday; Wintry Weather from the Northern Plains to the Great Lakes

Bitter cold temperatures and dangerous wind chills will persist from Florida to the Northeast through Monday. Daily record low temperatures are forecast across the Southeast and Florida, with some all-time February low temperature records possible across Florida. Overview

A slow-moving upper-level disturbance produced several rounds of showers and thunderstorms across the Black Hills and adjacent plains over the 2018 Memorial Day weekend. This led to locally heavy rainfall and flooding, particularly near Newcastle in northeastern Wyoming and across portions of Fall River County in South Dakota.
