Powerful Pacific Storm to Continue Impacting Northern California; Heavy Snow in the Appalachians and Portions of the Northeast

A strong atmospheric river will continue to impact northern California with heavy rain and life-threatening flooding through Friday. Unsettled weather is expected across much of the Northeast and Great Lakes over the next few days, including the likelihood of heavy snow in the central Appalachians and higher elevations of northeastern Pennsylvania and southern New York. Hermine Drenches Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas

The remnants of Tropical Storm Hermine brought copious amounts of rain to Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas on September 8th and 9th 2010 as it moved out of Texas and across Oklahoma. Much of Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas recieved 1 to 4 inches of rain. However...there was a swath of 8 to 14 inch rainfall totals across  East-Central Oklahoma and West-Central Arkansas. These heavy rains led to numerous reports of flooding especially in the area of heaviest rain.
