Regional Outbreaks of Severe Weather Through Early Next Week; Early Season Heat Wave across the South

Active spring pattern across the center of our nation with several episodes of severe weather and heavy rainfall expected into next week. The potential for very large hail, long track tornadoes, severe wind gusts, frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes and flash flooding are in the outlook. The WSR-88D Doppler Radar (KSGF) at Springfield, Missouri has
experienced a hardware failure and is not operational at this
time. Parts have been order to repair the radar and National Weather 
Service radar technicians will be on site this week to begin repairs to
the radar. The radar will be restored to normal operation as soon as possible.

KTWX in Topeka
KEAX in Pleasant Hill/Kansas City
KLSX in St. Louis
KPAH in Paducah Kentucky
KNQA in Memphis
