Storm Impacting the Northwest U.S.; Fire Weather Conditions in Southern California; Severe Weather in the South

A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. Severe Thunderstorm Event April 3, 2014

A potent storm system pushed across the central U.S. Thursday, April 3 2014 producing strong to locally severe storms. Scattered thunderstorms developed Thursday morning into the afternoon while a line of thunderstorms pushed across the Ozarks later Thursday afternoon and evening.   The strongest storms produced hail up to the size of golf balls and localized wind damage.
