Another Round of Heavy Rain and Mountain Snow in California; Snow in the Great Lakes and Northeast

Another round of heavy rainfall will renew concerns for additional flash flooding and landslides in southern California around burn scars and coastal mountain ranges. A low pressure system is bringing enhanced snowfall downwind from the lower Great Lakes into the Northeast mountain ranges. Severe Thunderstorm Event April 3, 2014

A potent storm system pushed across the central U.S. Thursday, April 3 2014 producing strong to locally severe storms. Scattered thunderstorms developed Thursday morning into the afternoon while a line of thunderstorms pushed across the Ozarks later Thursday afternoon and evening.   The strongest storms produced hail up to the size of golf balls and localized wind damage.
