Snow in the Rockies; Showers and Thunderstorms Along the Gulf Coast; Potential Winter Storm for Northern Mid-Atlantic and Interior New England

A winter-like pattern will continue over much of the Lower 48 over the next few days, with snow stretching from the Rockies today into the Middle Mississippi Valley on Monday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along the Gulf Coast and Southeast on Monday. A storm system tracked across the region Monday December 9 2013 producing a band of light o moderate snow from far southeastern Kansas into southern Missouri.  Total snow accumulations generally ranged from a dusting up to 3 inches with locally higher amounts between 4 an 5 inches in a narrow band along the Interstate 44 corridor in southwestern Missouri.
