
A winter-like pattern will continue over much of the Lower 48 over the next few days, with snow stretching from the Rockies today into the Middle Mississippi Valley on Monday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along the Gulf Coast and Southeast on Monday. Monthly Climate OverviewOctober 2013 was generally cooler than normal across the western part of the Missouri Ozarks into extreme southeast Kansas while the eastern Ozarks was near normal. Above normal precipitation occurred over much of the Missouri Ozarks and southeast Kansas with parts of central Missouri experiencing below normal precipitation for the month.
