Active spring pattern across the center of our nation with several episodes of severe weather and heavy rainfall expected into next week. March 2013 had much below normal temperatures across the Missouri Ozarks and southeast Kansas. In fact, West Plains and Vichy were around 6.5 to 7 degrees below normal and ranked in the top 10 coldest March's on record. A large swath of the Missouri Ozarks had above normal precipitation for the month, however areas along the Missouri / Arkansas border had below normal precipitation for the month.
