Very Cold Temperatures Round Out the Month of January

Dangerously cold air and gusty winds will create life-threatening wind chills tonight through Tuesday, with extreme cold persisting all week.  .DISCUSSION...
 After a brief break from snow showers this morning, additional 
 showers arrive by this evening along a passing clipper system. Light 
 accumulations are possible across the mountains, but only a dusting 
 is anticipated across the lower elevations.
 
 In addition, very cold temperatures are expected to continue across 
 the area for the remainder of the week, with temperatures not 
 anticipated to rise above freezing.
