 Fire Weather Planning Forecast
 National Weather Service Charleston WV
 236 AM EST Fri Mar 6 2026

 .DISCUSSION...
Showers will continue overnight amid patchy fog across northeast
Kentucky, central and northern West Virginia, and southeast Ohio. A
Flood Watch remains in effect across northwestern West Virginia and
southeast Ohio through Friday morning given the very saturated soils
 there.

Friday will bring a break in the rain for much of the area, along
with early summer-like temperatures. High temperatures will reach
the mid 70s to lower 80s on Friday and Saturday across the lowlands,
which will likely challenge daily records. A strong cold front will
arrive on Saturday afternoon, bringing another round of showers and
thunderstorms. Some of these storms could be strong to severe.
