 National Weather Service Charleston WV

 .DISCUSSION...
Hot and humid conditions will continue across the region into the
weekend. Heat indices may approach 100 degrees for some of the
lowlands during this afternoon and early evening hours today,
however with cloud coverage and smoke they will maintain below
advisory criteria. Smoke from distant wildfires will keep skies
somewhat hazy at times through the evening.

This afternoon there will be chances of thunderstorm activity and
going into the weekend as a cold front moves into the area. Some of
these storms could produce heavy rainfall that may lead to localized
flash flooding Saturday afternoon into Saturday night, along with
the potential for damaging wind gusts. Storm chances will continue
into the day on Sunday, with dry weather returning for the start of
 the new work week.
