 .DISCUSSION...
 Periodic showers and thunderstorms will occur today amid a passing 
 system and a nearby frontal boundary. Some strong to severe storms 
 out to the west may track into the lower Ohio River Valley this 
 afternoon before the loss of daytime heating.
 
 A warming trend can then be expected for Thursday and Friday with 
 temperatures climbing back above seasonal norms. Widespread rain 
 associated with a cold front arrives for the start of the weekend.
