.DISCUSSION...
Light snow showers will continue late tonight into this morning as a
weak disturbance crosses the area.
Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories are in effect
for more significant snow from an arctic front and clipper system
scheduled to roll in this evening, and continue into the morning
hours of New Years Day.
Some of the heaviest snowfall is forecast to occur in the hours
surrounding the ringing in of the New Year, so anyone traveling for
New Year's Eve festivities is encouraged to use extra caution and
consider adjusting travel plans.
The brisk, cold weather continues through Thursday night, and then
temperatures moderate closer to normal for Friday and the weekend,
amid a quieter weather pattern.
