 .DISCUSSION...
Rain associated with a low pressure system and an associated warm
front continues overnight and could be heavy in spots. Localized
flooding remains possible, particularly in locations impacted by
heavy rain over the last several days. A Flood Watch remains in
effect for northeast Kentucky, far western West Virginia, and
 southeast Ohio this morning.

After a brief break in rainfall later this morning, scattered
showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon, with even the
potential for a severe storm or two. The main hazards will be strong
winds and perhaps an isolated tornado. Locally heavy rain could lead
 to additional flooding concerns.

Additional rounds of showers are likely each day of the remainder of
the Memorial Day holiday weekend, with mainly afternoon and evening
thunderstorms also possible. Temperatures will recover to near
normal this afternoon, with a few degrees above normal beginning
Sunday. Unsettled weather looks to continue for the start of the new
work week as well, but may finally start to settle down later in the
week, as high pressure builds surface and aloft to the northeast of
 the Ohio Valley.
