 .DISCUSSION...
A big warm-up is on the way for the beginning of the week. After a
long period of bitter cold, temperatures will climb into the 50s on
Tuesday afternoon across much of the area after one more chilly
night tonight, albeit much warmer than last night. This will cause a
lot of our remaining snow and river ice to melt away across the
lower elevations. While we aren't expecting major flooding, we will
be watching for ice jams on local rivers. A weak cold front will
bring some light rain showers Tuesday evening, which will turn into
a few snow flakes by Wednesday morning. Any snow accumulation will
be very light and mostly in the mountains. The middle of the week
will be dry and cooler. We are watching another stronger storm that
could bring a mix of lower elevation rain and higher elevation snow
 this weekend.
