.DISCUSSION...
The work week will end with the return of active weather, as a
clipper system is anticipated to bring a slew of weather hazards
down into the area.
Snow, heavy at times, will promote accumulations from Friday morning
through Saturday morning. Accumulation amounts will range from 1 to
4 inches in the lower elevations to as much as 4 to 8 inches along
the higher terrain. This disturbance is also anticipated to stir up
strong wind gusts along the mountains for the start of the weekend,
in addition to dangerously low temperatures and wind chills settling
overhead for Saturday into Sunday.
A significant warm-up is forecast for early next week, with rain and
potential for localized flooding on the horizon for the middle of
next week.
