 .DISCUSSION...
High pressure resides over the area today, promoting dry weather and
warming temperatures. While temperatures recover to near normal for
highs under the late March sun today, dew points remain, and minimum
RH percentages this afternoon will be well down in the 20s. However,
the surface high will keep surface flow light throughout the area,
 mitigating the overall fire danger.

Temperatures moderate in ernest Wednesday as the high moves east
and gives way to a low level return south to southwest flow.
This will propel lowland temperatures well into the 60s and,
while dew points recover nearly in tandem, RH percentages will
still bottom out in the 20s across much of the area. With the
return south to southwest flow, fire danger may become elevated
 Wednesday afternoon.

By Thursday afternoon, temperatures in the 70s and dew points in
the 50s raise other concerns with the next system. Showers are
possible with a warm front Thursday morning, but then a cold front
will bring showers, and possible thunderstorms, Thursday night.

A cold rain shifts north to south on Friday as the cold front
pushes on south through the area. The rain may end as a bit of snow
in the mountains late Friday, and we will then be set up with a dry
but cold weekend, with overnight lows below freezing again.
