 .DISCUSSION...
A cold front will drop through our region overnight with showers and
slightly gusty winds. Dry weather then returns Saturday, but it
will not as warm as Friday with a low overcast through much of the
 day.

The chance for showers returns with a warm front moving up from the
southwest on Sunday with the better chance rain the farther north you
go, and warmer the farther south you go.

A strong cold front then approaches Sunday night and whips through
the area early Monday morning, bringing showers with strong wind
gusts early, then rain changing briefly to snow as it turns much
colder behind the front. There may be another brief shot of snow
later in the day with flurries Monday night, and upslope snow
showers may persist in the mountains through Monday night.

Winter will be in full control next week, with a reinforcing
shot of arctic air to ring in the new year while assuring a
prolonged period cold weather, along with another opportunity
 for snow.
