 Fire Weather Planning Forecast
 National Weather Service Charleston WV
 248 AM EDT Mon Jul 27 2026

 .DISCUSSION...
A few rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms are possible starting
this evening and continuing through Tuesday afternoon. The main
threats from these storms will be localized damaging wind gusts that
could knock down trees and power lines, along with locally heavy
rainfall that could cause quick flash flooding in low-lying areas
 and narrow mountain valleys.

Weather conditions will clear up by Wednesday, bringing cooler,
drier air for the rest of the week, though smoke from distant
wildfires will likely cause hazy skies.
