 .DISCUSSION...
Hot and humid conditions will continue across the region through the
end of the week. Heat indices may approach 100 degrees for some of
the lowlands Friday afternoon. Smoke from distant wildfires will
keep skies somewhat hazy at times through Friday afternoon.

The chance for heavy showers and thunderstorms will return as early
as Friday afternoon, and will last through the weekend as a cold
front moves into the area. Some of these storms could produce heavy
rainfall that may lead to localized flash flooding, along with
strong wind gusts. The highest rain chances will be Saturday, where
isolated episodes of significant flash flooding will be possible
Saturday afternoon and night, along with a risk for damaging wind
gusts. Storm chances will continue into Sunday morning.
