 Fire Weather Planning Forecast
 National Weather Service Charleston WV
 248 AM EDT Tue Aug 11 2026

 .DISCUSSION...
An active and stormy weather pattern will affect the region through
Thursday. Multiple rounds of heavy showers and thunderstorms are
expected as storm complexes move across the area. The main concerns
will be localized flash flooding and severe thunderstorms with
 damaging winds.

The risk of heavy rain and flash flooding will be highest Tuesday
through Thursday, especially in low-lying areas, near small streams,
and in mountain hollows. Weather conditions are expected to improve
by Friday night and the start of the weekend as drier air moves in.
