 .DISCUSSION...
High pressure will keep the region dry and increasingly warm today,
with high temperatures reaching the lower 70s in the lowlands. Due
to very dry air and low afternoon humidity, there is an elevated
risk for brush fires today so please use caution with outdoor
burning or machinery that causes sparks.

Rain chances return late tonight into Thursday as a warm front lifts
through the area, pushing Thursday's high temperatures into the
upper 70s and lower 80s. A cold front will then sweep across the
region Thursday evening and overnight, bringing a line of showers
and thunderstorms that could produce locally damaging wind gusts and
heavy downpours leading to localized flooding.
