 .DISCUSSION...
A cold front is moving through our area this morning, bringing some
light rain to the valleys and a mix of snow and ice to the
mountains. This will end by lunchtime. A dry reinforcing front
arrives this evening with much colder air.

Our biggest concern is a major winter storm arriving Saturday. This
storm will bring heavy snow to most of the region through Sunday
night. In southern West Virginia, the snow may mix with sleet and
freezing rain at times Saturday night through Sunday afternoon.
Expect very dangerous travel and the possibility of power outages
this weekend. Behind the storm, it will be bitterly cold with
temperatures dropping into the single digits. Make sure you have
your winter emergency kits ready and avoid travel this weekend if
 possible.
