Dangerous Cold Persists through Monday; Wintry Weather from the Northern Plains to the Great Lakes

Bitter cold temperatures and dangerous wind chills will persist from Florida to the Northeast through Monday. Daily record low temperatures are forecast across the Southeast and Florida, with some all-time February low temperature records possible across Florida. The KMPX radar in Chanhassen, MN is operational and fully-functional, but due to a communications issue that is being investigated, some vendors and users are not able to view the data. Our meteorologists have full access to the data and have been using it as normal for the creation of watches and warnings of severe storms. Technicians have been working this issue since Saturday and continue doing so. We apologize for the inconvenience as we continue to troubleshoot the root cause.
