Snow in the Rockies; Showers and Thunderstorms Along the Gulf Coast; Potential Winter Storm for Northern Mid-Atlantic and Interior New England

A winter-like pattern will continue over much of the Lower 48 over the next few days, with snow stretching from the Rockies today into the Middle Mississippi Valley on Monday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along the Gulf Coast and Southeast on Monday. The KMPX radar in Chanhassen, MN is operational and fully-functional, but due to a communications issue that is being investigated, some vendors and users are not able to view the data. Our meteorologists have full access to the data and have been using it as normal for the creation of watches and warnings of severe storms. Technicians have been working this issue since Saturday and continue doing so. We apologize for the inconvenience as we continue to troubleshoot the root cause.
