Nor'Easter Continues to Bring Heavy Rain and Coastal Impacts; Nolo Continues to Impact Hawaii

The nor’easter will weaken tonight, easing beach conditions and coastal flooding, though locally heavy rain will continue in parts of the Mid-Atlantic and New England into Monday. Hurricane Nolo continues to bring strong winds and large waves to Hawaii. A multi-day rain event will return to the Four Corners region Monday and expand to the south-central U.S. by midweek. Due to the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms today, the Routine Weekly Test of NOAA All-Hazards radio is postponed until tomorrow, Thursday, March 20th around noon.

Also, there will be maintenance to the Madison NOAA Weather Radio transmitter (WXJ-87, 162.550mhz, Channel 7) early on Friday morning between midnight and 6am. The transmitter will be down during this time. Alternative nearby weather radio stations to use during this time are:
