Unsettled Weather in the Eastern U.S. through Memorial Day

Showers and thunderstorms are expected from Texas to the Northeast through Tuesday. Heavy rain will create mainly localized areas of flash flooding across the central Gulf Coast into the Appalachians. Elevated to Critical fire weather conditions due to gusty winds and low humidity are expected through Tuesday across Oregon and Nevada. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over the Northwest. The Milwaukee lakeshore observation located on the Port of Milwaukee grounds near the Lake Express Ferry terminal is experiencing intermittent data outages, most likely due to the power supply. The observation stopped transmitting around 1 pm on September 2nd but resumed around 10 am on September 3rd.

Our technicians will be visiting the site to diagnose the issue, and hopefully get it corrected later this week, or the week of September 9th.
