Heavy Rainfall Threat Continues in the Southwest on Monday; Record Warmth in the Plains and Midwest

Remnant moisture from Tropical Storm Rachel will persist over portions of the Great Basin and Southwest on Monday, bringing a potential heavy to excessive rainfall risk. The Milwaukee lakeshore observation located on the Port of Milwaukee grounds near the Lake Express Ferry terminal is experiencing intermittent data outages, most likely due to the power supply. The observation stopped transmitting around 1 pm on September 2nd but resumed around 10 am on September 3rd.

Our technicians will be visiting the site to diagnose the issue, and hopefully get it corrected later this week, or the week of September 9th.
