A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. Cold start to February

Very cold temperatures and low wind chills will persist through mid morning. Temperatures are around zero early this morning (away from the immediate Lakeshore), with wind chills of 10 to 20 below zero. Temperatures will warm into the mid to upper teens by late afternoon.
