Regional Outbreaks of Severe Weather Through Early Next Week; Early Season Heat Wave across the South

Active spring pattern across the center of our nation with several episodes of severe weather and heavy rainfall expected into next week. The potential for very large hail, long track tornadoes, severe wind gusts, frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes and flash flooding are in the outlook. One half to two and a half inches of snow fell across southern Wisconsin in the overnight and early morning hours between December 8th and 9th. The highest amounts were centered around Dodge county.

 

The snow in southern Wisconsin began in the late afternoon on Friday and persisted off and on into the morning on Saturday. Snow was the heaviest in the early morning hours.
