A winter storm brought a widespread swath of 6 to 8 inches of snowfall across southern Wisconsin March 9-10, with higher amounts of 8-12 inches near Lake Michigan. The majority of the snow fell from the evening hours of the 9th through the early morning hours of the 10th.

The heavy, wet snow brought down a lot of branches and even some trees in the east, resulting in tens of thousands of power outages.
