Storm Impacting the Northwest U.S.; Fire Weather Conditions in Southern California; Severe Weather in the South

A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. The telephone company that supports the communication circuit from our office to the weather radio transmitters at Janesville, Racine, Sheboygan and Fond du Lac will be working on those lines this morning from 8 am to 10 am. Unfortunately, that means those radios may go offline for a time during this maintenance period. We should be back to normal operations on those transmitters by 10 am.
