Hazardous Coastal Conditions for the Mid-Atlantic; Storm System Approaching Southern Alaska

A Nor'easter will create hazardous marine and coastal conditions along the Mid-Atlantic coast through mid-week, with significant coastal flooding and beach erosion possible. Meanwhile, another strong storm system is forecast to bring high winds and heavy precipitation to portions of southern Alaska. The telephone company that supports the communication circuit from our office to the weather radio transmitters at Janesville, Racine, Sheboygan and Fond du Lac will be working on those lines this morning from 8 am to 10 am. Unfortunately, that means those radios may go offline for a time during this maintenance period. We should be back to normal operations on those transmitters by 10 am.
