Tracking Severe Thunderstorms and Excessive Rainfall in the Southern U.S.; Winter Storm to Impact the Northern U.S.

A storm system will shift from eastern Texas into the lower Mississippi Valley Monday with additional threats of severe thunderstorms and heavy to excessive rainfall which may bring flooding. A Flood Watch remains in effect. In the northern U.S., a storm will bring heavy snow and gusty winds over parts of the northern Rockies, northern Plains, and Upper Midwest Monday into Wednesday. Modest cooling following a cold front expected late Thanksgiving Day into Thursday night before recovery to near normal by Sunday. Shower chances increase starting tomorrow, peaking Thursday night before gradually dropping off through the weekend. North to northeast breezes increase to fresh to strong late Thursday night and remain fresh through the weekend.
TONIGHT... Partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers. Lows in the mid 70s. East to southeast winds 10 to 15 mph, decreasing to near 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Bayside/Gulfside: Seas around 1 foot. Deep Gulf: Seas 1 to 2 feet. Hawk Channel: Seas 2 to 3 feet, subsiding to 1 to 2 feet. Florida Straits: Seas 3 to 4 feet, subsiding to 2 to 3 feet. Bay/nearshore waters a light chop, except Hawk Channel a light to moderate chop, becoming a light chop. Isolated Showers.
