Spring 2021 saw slightly warmer than normal temperatures and below normal precipitation at the Jackson

Weather Office. The mean temperature was 0.6 degrees warmer than normal. Jackson ended Spring 2021

with a precipitation total over three and 1/3rd inches below normal. In fact, Spring 2021 was the 10th driest

spring at Jackson. At London, Spring 2021 was 0.7 degrees cooler than normal. The London Corbin Airport

seasonal precipitation total was almost four and 1/3rd inches below normal. Spring 2021 was the 11th driest 

spring at London.

 

May 2021 was cooler than normal across eastern Kentucky.  Jackson averaged 63.9 degrees which made

May 2021  over a degree and a half cooler than normal. London finished May 2021 with a reading of 62.8 degrees 

which over 2 and a half degrees below normal. Jackson finished May with a total of 2.24 inches which is almost

three inches drier than normal.  In fact, May 2021 was the 3rd driest May at Jackson. The London Corbin Airport

finished May 2021 with a precipitation total of 2.36 inches which is well over 2 inches below normal.  Climate data

for Jackson dates back to 1981 while weather records began in 1954 at London.
