A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. March 2019 ended up much cooler and drier across eastern Kentucky. Jackson totaled 2.40" of
precipitation, almost one and three quarters inches below normal. London totaled 2.50" and was over an
inch and a half drier. It was the 8th driest March at Jackson and 13th driest at London. Both Jackson and
London were around three degrees cooler than normal. Jackson tied for the 11th coolest March while March
2019 tied for the 21st coolest March at London. Also of note, the Jackson Weather Office received 2.3 inches of
snowfall which brings the seasonal snowfall total up to 10.4 inches. Jackson's snow season normal is 23.5 inches.
The 2018-19 snow season is currently the 5th least snowiest at Jackson.
