Arctic Air Mass Lingers for Areas of the East; Critical Fire Weather for the Plains; Active Weather Pattern for Hawaii

Arctic air lingers for the east, however, winds will slowly subside and a slow moderating trend starts during the week. Moisture continues to provide rainfall and higher elevation snow for the Pacific Northwest, northern California and northern Rockies through Monday. For the State of Hawaii, dangerous surf conditions with strong winds and heavy rainfall will impact the islands through Monday. Read More >

WYMT has been an exemplary ambassador for NWS Jackson, KY over the years. When COVID hit, the WYMT weather team stepped up to the plate to help us continue to carry out our initiatives. They co-conducted virtual spotter trainings with us, advertised trainings on our behalf, and promoted weather safety in coordination with our NWS safety week/campaigns. They have also included us annually on their Questions and Answers program, helping us to reach a wide audience for weather and safety topics. We are thankful for their partnership everyday!
