High-Impact and Far-Reaching Winter Storm Continues; Cold Expands and Persists

A major winter storm will shift its impacts into the Northeast U.S. with heavy snow through tonight while over the Mid-Atlantic, sleet and freezing rain will diminish. Extremely cold air behind the storm will prolong dangerous travel and infrastructure impacts. The following NOAA All-Hazards Weather Radio Transmitter:

* WWG-61 in Stanton KY / Frequency 162.550 MHz

will undergo intermittent outages today while maintenance is
performed on the tower.

Alternative transmitters in the area include WWG63 in Frenchburg
on a frequency of 162.475 MHz and WNG727 in Irvine on a frequency
of 162.475 MHz.

Full service will be restored once maintenance work is complete.
