Storm Impacting the Northwest U.S.; Fire Weather Conditions in Southern California; Severe Weather in the South

A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are possible through early Wednesday morning across parts of northeast Texas into western Tennessee. Read More >

 

March 2022 was warm and dry across eastern Kentucky.  Jackson averaged 51.0 degrees which

made March 2022 over three degrees above normal. March 2022 was also the 9th warmest March

at Jackson. The London Corbin Airport finished March 2022 with an average of 49.4 degrees which

is a little over two degrees warmer than normal. Jackson picked up 2.21 inches of precipitation

during March which is two and a half inches below normal. London totaled 2.14 inches which  is

close to two and a half inches drier than normal. It was the 6th driest March at London and 7th driest 

at Jackson.  Climate data for Jackson dates back to 1981 while weather records began in 1954 at London.
