Scattered severe thunderstorms capable of damaging wind gusts and some hail are expected this afternoon and evening from the Upper Ohio River Valley into the Northeast, and from the Appalachians into the Mid-Atlantic States. A Freeze Warning is in effect for eastern Kentucky tonight into Monday morning. Low temperatures Monday morning are expected to drop into the mid 20s for many of our typically colder valley locations and in the lower 30s for most other locations. Freezing temperatures could damage or kill sensitive vegetation that is left unprotected.
