Storm Impacting the Northwest U.S.; Fire Weather Conditions in Southern California; Severe Weather in the South

A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are possible through early Wednesday morning across parts of northeast Texas into western Tennessee. Read More >

2023 saw above normal temperatures and below normal precipitation at the Jackson Weather Office. The mean

temperature was 59.1 degrees which makes 2023 the warmest year on record at Jackson. The previous warmest year was

58.8 degrees from 2016 and the normal is 57.2 degrees. Also, Jackson totaled 44.27 inches of precipitation which is over seven

and a half inches below normal. 2023 was the 10th driest year at Jackson. London's annual data is missing due to a sensor outage.
